Craig
D. Morgan, MD
During
his distinguished career, Dr. Morgan has established himself
as a world-renowned authority on disorders of the shoulder and
knee. Many arthroscopic techniques used by todays surgeons
were developed by Dr. Morgan. In addition, he holds numerous
U.S. patents on arthroscopic surgical instruments and has been a pioneer in
such areas as cartilage transplantation, meniscus repair, anterior/posterior
cruciate ligament reconstruction, shoulder reconstruction, and
labral repair particularly in baseball pitchers. Major
League Baseball pitchers have returned to play through Dr. Morgans
surgical expertise, and he also cares for Olympic-level athletes
and players on the LPGA tour.
Over his
18-year career he has published more than 50 articles in peer
reviewed journals and presented more than 220 papers at national
and international orthopaedic meetings. He has served as an
associate editor of the Journal of Arthroscopy, and he
has been secretary of the International Knee Society and the
International Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy Association.
As a board-certified
orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Morgan is a member of the American
Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Society for Sports
Medicine, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, The
International Society of Arthroscopy and Orthopaedic Sports
Medicine, The American Shoulder and Elbow Society, The Philadelphia
Orthopaedic Society and the Philadelphia Orthopaedic Society
Sports Medicine Society. In addition, he is listed in Whos
Who in America, the World of Science and Engineering. His teaching
affiliations include: Clinical professor, University of Pennsylvania
and associate clinical professor, Thomas Jefferson University.

Victor
R. Kalman, DO, FAOAO
Dr.
Kalman is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon. He completed
a sports medicine/arthroscopy surgery fellowship at Thomas Jefferson
University Hospital in Philadelphia. During his fellowship,
he worked with the 1993-1994 Philadelphia Phillies. He also
worked with the Philadelphia Eagles team physician during his
chief year of residency. In addition to his practice at the
Morgan Kalman Clinic, he serves as team physician for local
high schools and consultant to the University of Delaware. He
was the orthopaedic consultant for the McDonalds LPGA Golf
Championship in Wilmington, Delaware. Dr. Kalman has been selected
to serve as a volunteer physician at the United States Olympic
Training Center. His speciality is arthroscopic surgery involving the shoulder, knee, hip, elbow and ankle. He has lectured at national meetings and is published in peer review journals. He also served as associate master instructor in arthroscopic
surgery at the Orthopaedic Learning Center. He is a Fellow of
the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedics and is past
president of its Sports Medicine section. He is a member of
the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Arthroscopy
Association of North America, the American College of Sports
Medicine, and the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine.
In addition, he is listed in Whos Who in America, Professionals and was named one of the "Top Docs" for 2005 by Delaware Today magazine.
He lettered in football at Gettysburg College and played for
the Chambersburg (PA) Cardinals, the 1979 Semi-Professional
Football National Champions.

Elliott
H. Leitman, MD
Upon completing his
undergraduate and medical degrees at Boston University, Dr.
Leitman served as an orthopaedic resident at Einstein Medical
Center in Philadelphia. During his residency, the Pennsylvania
Orthopaedic Society cited him for excellence in research. From
1997 to 1998, Dr. Leitman completed a sports medicine and joint
replacement fellowship with Booth, Bartlozzi, Balderston Orthopaedics
in Philadelphia. As a sports medicine fellow, he was on the
medical staff of Philadelphia’s professional sports teams:
Eagles, Flyers, Phantoms, and Kixx. In addition, he won the
Philadelphia Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine award for
academic excellence for his research of shoulder injuries. In
1998, Dr. Leitman joined Morgan Kalman Clinic after completing
his sports medicine fellowship with Craig D. Morgan, M.D.
Currently, Dr. Leitman is the team doctor for
several area high schools. He is on the board of directors and
the sports medicine committee of Maccabi USA/Sports for Israel.
Currently, Dr. Leitman cares for amateur and professional athletes.
In addition he has published numerous peer reviewed articles,
authored several orthopaedic text book chapters and has lectured
extensively on issues pertaining to injuries to the knee and
shoulders.
Dr. Leitman holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the United
States Army Reserves and has received commendation for outstanding
service while on duty. He is a certified private pilot and a
member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilot Association.
In addition to sports medicine, Dr. Leitman
has expertise in joint replacement, orthopaedic trauma, and
general orthopaedics. He is board certified by the American
Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, a Fellow of the American Academy
of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America,
Orthopaedic Trauma Association and the Society of Military Orthopaedic
Surgeons.
